OS 4.5.0.77 For 8330 & 8830 Found Online

Hopefully this means that they will be releasing the official version soon. I have a feeling that it will be around 4.5.1 or something like that at this rate, which kind of makes sense.

Here are the download links:

8330: http://www.mediafire.com/?ejfzak4uy3f
8830: http://www.mediafire.com/?gnvehbcgiw3

PLEASE REMEMBER, these OS versions are betas. They are not official releases by RIM. Always make backups before upgrading to a beta OS. It’s a good idea to make a backup when doing anything with your BlackBerry, but it is really important to make one before upgrading to a beta OS.

has anyone tried this download for the 8830? How do you install it? How would you uninstall it if it doesn't work?
    Thanks
  • Hey there Howser.

I do not have an 8830, but I can tell you how to install and uninstall it.

    1. Download the installation file.
    2. Search for and delete the vendor.xml file.
    3. Run the installation file.
    4. Plug in your BB.
    5. Run desktop manager.

It should now prompt you to install the new OS. If it doesn't, run the Application Loader. I will make a tutorial on how to do this soon and post it when I can. It's very important that you delete the vendor.xml file before installing the new OS.

To uninstall simply download your provider's current OS for your device and follow the same instructions above.

If you have any more questions or run into trouble send me a message with the contact form.

    Thanks for stopping by!
