AT&T still testing the Bold…delayed again.
This is probably not a big surprise to many, but AT&T has delayed their release of the Bold due to further testing. According to RIM’s co-CEO Mike Lazaridis “the phone is still undergoing the certification process in which AT&T tests all new handsets to make sure they work well on its wireless network.”
Lazaridis claims that the purpose of these tests are to ensure that the Bold doesn’t have the same problems as the iPhone when it first came out. I’m with Lazaridis on that one, more testing means it can only be better once it’s released.
“There’s great scrutiny, as you might know, on that network and a certain device. So I guess everyone wants to be sure on every last test,” Lazaridis said.
