Following the announcement of the BlackBerry sponsored U2 360 tour, it appears as if U2 will get a BlackBerry application that will allow them to interact with fans.
Canadian DJ Alan Cross was able to get some hints from Bono while asking him about their deal with RIM:
“I’m very excited about this: Research in Motion is going to give us what Apple wouldn’t – access to their labs and their people so we can do something really spectacular,” said the singer. Cross asked if he meant a U2 app that would let fans interact with the band during the tour. “You’re not far off,” replied Bono.
How many BlackBerry owning U2 fans are excited about this app?
