ÜberTwitter has been updated with many bug fixes and additions. All of the following items that are marked “Done!” have either been added or fixed and will be included in the Beta 2 release of ÜberTwitter.

  • Done! Sound/Vib notifications – different profile for new tweets, vice replies
  • Seperate Sound/Vib notification profile for new DM
  • Done! Manual and/or longer refresh
  • Done! Increase screen name field size on Options screen
  • Done! Increase GTalk user field size on Options screen
  • TRIM battery usage significantly
  • Done! Add Direct Messages To and Direct Messages From timelines
  • Add View friends
  • Done! Add ‘Follow’ to context menu when clicking on @screenname
  • Add search
  • MUST add BIS support
  • Support built-in GPS as option
  • Select pics already on device
  • Done! Bug to fix – Fonts not resetting on change (need to exit now)
  • Done! Add option to not show confirmation dialog after every tweet
  • Add shortcuts – T tweet, some key to refresh
  • Add thumbnails of pics attached to tweets in the timeline, either from twitpic, or from UberTwitter
  • View persons timeline by typing in twitter name
  • Add ‘mentions’ to timeline, perhaps as option
  • Visual indicator that app is running
  • Different indicator on home screen for new tweets, vice replys, vice DMs received
  • Fix all bugs!!

    so, i recently joined twitter, which bb app in you guys opinion is the best?
  • Thats up in the air. Personally, I have YATCA running, because it integrates twitter to your messages folder. Which is the way it should be, IMO.

    TwitterBerry used to be king, but UberTwitter honestly has the exact same featureset, but looks cleaner, and has a few more things TwitterBerry doesn't, like trending and retweeting. Both UberTwitter and TwitterBerry can be run in the background or just shut off.

    So pretty much in recap, if you want to stay on top of your twitter ALL the time, I recomment YATCA-- there is NOTHING that comes close to it. If you only use twitter casually, and want it on demand, I recommend UberTwitter.

    *Note: I run both YATCHA & UberBerry, to stay on it all the time, and to keep up with trending topics.
  • That would be *UberTwitter, not UberBerry.
  • Woah! UberTwitter transforms any #blah in your messages/IM/tweets on ANY application into an instant TwitterSearch through the application. THAT is neat. Integrates very cleanly with YATCA messages and browser mentions. Wild!
