niagara 9630 bgr BlackBerry 9630 to be named the BlackBerry Tour

The BlackBerry Niagara as a name actually wasn’t that bad, but it seems like RIM felt otherwise.

BGR has somewhat confirmed that RIM is planning on naming the BlackBerry 9630 the BlackBerry Tour. The sites blackberrytour.com and blackberry9630.com (both presumably owned by RIM) point to the same IP address, and happened to be registered on the same date. I guess it would make a bit more sense considering the new partnership between U2 and RIM.

No official word from RIM about the naming of the 9630, but I’m sure we’ll be seeing something soon.

I am in love with this phone, but all the news I have been hearing is that it will be landing at Verizon any word on Sprint and when? Lats i heard about Sprint is in Q3 Sept most likely.....The big question is if it had WiFi or not? I would love for Sprint (if this phone lands there) to have the WiFi enabled maybe calls over WiFi...As far as the look Love It, Size Love It, and featured Love It.....seems to be alot more comfy than the 8830
