gpsed blackberry FREE! GPSed: Record tracks of your trips anywhere on the Earth from your BlackBerry

I know there’s been a free version of GPSed around for a while, but this one came in to me as being “new”. I think it might be because of the Facebook, MySpace, Twitter and Blogger integration.

From the description:

Record tracks of your trips anywhere on the Earth from your BlackBerry.

Share GPS tracks and geotagged photos with friends via e-mail, IM or by posting them to social networks like Facebook, MySpace, Twitter and Blogger.

Let your friends see your instant position on a map!

Features:

  • Map GPS tracks from your mobile and keep them in a personal archive
  • Pin your photos to a map with one-click geotagging feature
  • Share your position coordinates and tracks with friends and family
  • The uploaded tracks are stored on the server and available for review and management from GPSed web service

Minimum Requirements:

  • For for 4.2, 4.5 and 4.6 OS

Unlike the free/trial VR+ application, I believe this one stays free with no limitations.

  • I've tried it for a few weeks and I have to tell you the tracking system doesn;t work wel at all. All the track I've uploaded were incomplete and when I wrote to customer support, I had no answer for a week. When I finally did, they said they will forward my email to the developer and that was that-no reply for a month. So I've stopped using it.You can read my gripes here:

  • Thanks for the feedback! I hope SHAPE reads this and does something about it. Some companies are hard to get through to.

Since it's free I guess people don't have to worry about possibly wasting money, but that doesn't mean it should be a problem like that.
