Not even a few minutes after posting about T-Mobile getting the Onyx/Driftwood around September did I see a post by Engadget where they actually have a picture of the BlackBerry Onyx from the front!
Now that I can see it from the front I can say a few more things about it. It seems to me like the Onyx is a Curve 8900 with the QWERTY keypad from the Bold, and is 3G enabled making it part of the 9000 series. There is no Trackpad on the Onyx pictured above, but since this is a pre-production unit the actual production unit may have one.
I have a feeling that this will be my next BlackBerry. It so far incorporates the awesomeness of both the Curve 8900 and the Bold! I’d definitely like to see a specifications chart for the Onyx leaked soon. Any takers want to smuggle one out of RIM? Send a copy to me if you do
