US Cellular launches free Battery Swap program

Now here is a service I think every network should provide. US Cellular is now offering free battery swaps through their new Battery Swap program where customers can go to any US Cellular store and “change out a dead or dying battery for a fully-charged one.”

“Our Battery Swap program is perfect for people who depend on their wireless devices as their lifelines, such as business people, parents, not to mention heavy users who drain their battery daily,” said Jay Ellison, executive vice president and COO of U.S. Cellular. “We’re offering this service to help our customers stay connected.”

US Cellular has made a step in the right direction towards customer satisfaction with this Battery Swap program and I hope all the other networks follow suit.

This is great for those with removable batteries, sucks unfortunate for those that don’t.
