BlackBerry Desktop Manager Updated to v5.0.0.11?

blackberry desktop manager 5 0 0 11 BlackBerry Desktop Manager Updated to v5.0.0.11?

@saucewear let me know that someone she knows was able to update their BlackBerry Desktop Manager from v5.0.0.8 to v5.0.0.11 by connecting their BlackBerry Tour to their computer.

I tried to do it with my Curve 8900 but didn’t receive an update notice and I don’t see anything different on RIM’s Desktop Manager download page.

Was anyone else able to update their Desktop Manager by connecting their BlackBerry, or is this only available if you have a Tour?

I turned my system on and my computer just said " recieved new update" when i checked what the update was it was the BB 5.0 uppdate just like that...so i'm guessing its being pushed to everyone...and if so....sweet..

My desktop manager prompted me to update a few days ago. I have my manager set to auto update. Some minor functionality changes were made, but the only major change seems to be support for 5.0 apps. Nothing special really.

Nope. Not just for the Tour. Rim Auto Update ran yesterday and installed this. I have an 8330.

I have a couple of blackberry users in the company and limited bandwidth, I am struggling to download the 212MB file from blackberry, it downloads about half and them bombs out, you cant use an download assistant on it, anybody have an alternate url exept for from balckberry's site?
