Pader-Sync Mobile File Manager Applications Now Free for Personal Use

By Mauricio

Pader-Sync let me know that their mobile File Manager applications for BlackBerry are now free for personal use!

“The free version allows users to copy personal files to and from a mobile device – maybe upload the latest photos to an Online Disk or a computer at home, or download music files. It’s a great deal for everyone to tap unused potential of their smartphone.”, said Thorsten Schemm, developer.

The mobile file manager applications are available in five different versions:

  • PaderSyncSMB
  • PaderSyncFTP
  • PaderSyncSFTP
  • PaderSyncDAV
  • PaderSyncFM (all-in-one solution)

Each version is available free for personal use but if you intend to use it for commercial purposes the full license costs $18 per device for single protocol solutions or $30 for the all-in-one product. These apps will work with BlackBerry devices running OS 4.2.1 and higher.

For more info and to download the Pader-Sync File Managers visit the Pader-Sync product page, or check out the full press release after the jump.

Press Release

File transfer applications for Android™, BlackBerry® and Java ME smartphones now free for personal use.

Paderborn, Germany, August 17, 2009 — Pader-Sync offers commercial file transfer software for Android™, BlackBerry® and Java ME enabled smartphones. A free edition of these applications is now available for non-commercial use at http://www.pader-sync.com/ . The programs focus on secure and easy mobile access to file servers using industry-standard protocols such as FTP, SFTP(SSH), SMB and WebDAV.

The file manager is available in five different versions: PaderSyncSMB, PaderSyncFTP, PaderSyncSFTP and PaderSyncDAV focus on one protocol each and PaderSyncFM is the all-in-one solution. All applications allow smartphone users to access file servers at home, at work or in the Cloud from any place in the world. Advanced configuration options enable the synchronization of complete folder structures and even to automate these tasks.

“The free version allows users to copy personal files to and from a mobile device – maybe upload the latest photos to an Online Disk or a computer at home, or download music files. It’s a great deal for everyone to tap unused potential of their smartphone.”, said Thorsten Schemm, developer.

Individuals can use the free edition of the apps unless they want to use it commercially. Anyone can download a full-featured 30-day demo of the software. Once the trial period expires the demo will automatically downgrade to the free version unless a license has been purchased. Then it will show an information window on each program start and the advanced synchronization features are no longer available.

The possibility to create bookmarks that manage directory locations and personal login credentials allows for easy file transfers even on small mobile devices. Login details are encrypted on the device and access to the application can be password protected to ensure confidentiality.

The Pader-Sync File Managers can be downloaded and purchased from http://www.pader-sync.com/products.html and other major retailers for mobile software. The full license costs 18$ per device for single
protocol solutions or 30$ for the all-in-one product.

Pader-Sync Ltd. & Co. KG is a one-man software development company from Paderborn, Germany. It’s focus is on productivity software for the Android, BlackBerry and Java ME platforms.
