New to the store is an app by Sergey Demyanov called Fancy Characters that allows you to insert special characters anywhere on your BlackBerry!

If you’ve checked out my Twitter profile from your BlackBerry you will have noticed that I have the BlackBerry symbol in my profile name. This symbol is one of the many symbols in Fancy Characters, but one that I point out because many have asked how I got it into my name. Now you can easily add this and other special characters in your emails, SMS and PIN messages, your status and more.

  • Puts chracter in clipboard or to a text field
  • Four categorized tabs for easy characters access

This application is available in the store for only $0.99 and will work with all BlackBerry devices running OS 4.2.1 and higher.

    Awesome! AutoText is a PITA trying to remember all them! This will allow me to use the characters and not have to memorize what the AutoText ones were.

    I payed for the Special Characters app, it does NOT work on my Storm. When i Click a special character to insert into my text field it only shows up as a question mark. I thought maybe it would show ? and actually send the character, so i sent myself a text and all i get is the ?.
