BlackBerry Bold 9700: Why Its RIMs Best BlackBerry Ever

My buddy @ASacco definitely “hits the nail on the head” with his latest article about why the BlackBerry Bold 9700 is RIM’s best BlackBerry ever. In his latest editorial, Al goes over some of the Bold 9700’s strong points as well as some of its minor drawbacks, a great and objective article that anyone who is looking to buy one should read through.

  • Al’s likes (in reverse order):
    1. BlackBerry Bold Battery Life is Exceptional
    2. BlackBerry Bold 9700 Gets RIM “Trackpad”
    3. BlackBerry Bold 9700 Keyboard
    4. BlackBerry Bold 9700 Runs BlackBerry OS 5.0
    5. BlackBerry Bold 9700 is a Wireless Powerhouse
    6. Bold 9700 Form Factor
    7. BlackBerry Bold 9700’s 3.2 Megapixel, Autofocus Digital Camera
    8. BlackBerry Bold 9700 Application Memory
    9. BlackBerry Bold 9700 Screen Resolution
  • Al’s dislikes (also in reverse order):
    1. Bold 9700’s Just a Little Bit Too Small
    2. BlackBerry Bold 9700 is Only Available on T-Mobile, AT&T
    3. No On-Device Storage Memory

While Al’s likes do outweigh his dislikes, you should not write them off if you want to keep an objective viewpoint about the Bold 9700 to. If you’re interested in purchasing the T-Mobile Bold 9700 check it out in the BBRocks! Smartphone Store. The AT&T Bold 9700 will be available in the store shortly.

Too bad it's not on more carriers.

  • Yes that's definitely going to be one downfall. At least in the USA.

i dont knw from where did you get that picture of the bold 9700 from tmobile, but the faves five icons they dont come with that phone, even them sent a paper inside of the box saying we are sorry that they faves five icons don't appear etc etc.. i just had that phone since the first day and return it, i don't like the keyboard is too soft plus they need to get a Devices Software that support Full WAP 2.0 Browser because with the OS that the phone came it doesn't have the support. i don't see much different between the 8900 and 9700 from tmobile. after you upgrade the OS to 5.0.0.348 it give you the same error message… you can add visual voice mail to the 8900 by calling tmobile and tell them that you upgrade the OS of the phone like i did, plus you also can add the application call it my account from the 9700 to the 8900 and it work too

  • Thanks for sharing your thoughts!

The photo used is a pre-release press image that was sent out before the device was launched.
