When I received this press release I had a moment of déjà vu and remembered that I posted about LifeInPocket’s BlackBerry availability back in February. At the time the LifeInPocket app did not support all carriers so it looks like that is the main difference with this “re-launch” among some new features and bug fixes.
Free of charge, LifeInPocket will upgrade BlackBerrys with a greater array of functionality than any smart phone. Those features include GPS, navigation, actionable location messaging, friends/family locator, local listing/reviews, satellite map, street view, cheap gas finder, news, video, traffic, Twitter, emails, IMs, Facebook, MySpace, LinkedIn, YouTube, music, movies, local events, TV guide, weather, finance, banking, sports, flights, magazines, fashion, cooking, transportation, travel, yellow/white pages, dictionary, translation, bible and much more real-time information and services.
In addition to the features mentioned above, LifeInPocket also offers address book syncing, GPS-based directories, cross-platform/cross-network instant messaging and more. Definitely a nice feature-packed application and the fact that it’s free and available for most BlackBerry devices makes it even better.

Press Release
LifeInPocket(R) Rolls Out World’s Most Powerful App for BlackBerry: Offers the Capability of Hundreds of Advanced Apps While Remaining Small, Fast, Fully Personalized, Powerful and Free
SARATOGA, Calif., Nov. 25 /PRNewswire/ — Building on the success in the one billion units per year Java phone market, RoadComm, Inc. today made available the enhanced LifeInPocket mobile suite, http://LifeInPocket.com or http://lifeinpocket.com/s.html (mobile web), to RIM’s BlackBerry smart phones.
Free of charge, LifeInPocket will upgrade BlackBerrys with a greater array of functionality than any smart phone. Those features include GPS, navigation, actionable location messaging, friends/family locator, local listing/reviews, satellite map, street view, cheap gas finder, news, video, traffic, Twitter, emails, IMs, Facebook, MySpace, LinkedIn, YouTube, music, movies, local events, TV guide, weather, finance, banking, sports, flights, magazines, fashion, cooking, transportation, travel, yellow/white pages, dictionary, translation, bible and much more real-time information and services.
With little or no learning curve, LifeInPocket effectively transcends each combination of apps available today.
LifeInPocket offers the only Location Messaging Service powered with navigation and other GPS-based services with one of the most advanced turn-by-turn navigation prompts with beautiful voice guidance. That modality allows for far safer, hands-free and eyes-free navigation.
Utilizing synced address book, BlackBerry(TM) address book and its unique online trip-planning tool, LifeInPocket Navigation virtually eliminated the need for typing on tiny keyboards and surpassed those expensive phone navigation services.
Much more powerful than SMS, parents/friends will find great use in LifeInPocket’s Cross-Platform and Cross-Network instant location messaging, family/friends locator and a host of related peace-of-mind and social functions using phones or PCs.
LifeInPocket enables address book sync/import with many web address books. Users can one-click on those synced contacts to “call,” to “mail” and to “navigate” via their phones using LifeInPocket(TM) address book or BlackBerry(TM) address book.
Besides maps, weather, PIM, traffic report, parking, roadside assistance and WiFi hotspots, LifeInPocket offers a GPS/address-based directory with more than 15 million points of interest (POIs). Not only with the most comprehensive POI database, LifeInPocket users can view other visitors’ reviews and ratings as recently as minutes before venturing to unfamiliar restaurants, car repair shops, towing services or other businesses. Unlike other local search apps such as Poynt and Where, LifeInPocket not only finds your desired POIs, it takes you there via turn-by-turn voice guidance.
The only mobile application/services platform of its kind, LifeInPocket symbolizes the next generation of applications and services and offers BlackBerry a power superior to any mobile devices available.
