Opera Mini 5 Beta 2 Now Available For Download – New Features & No Longer Forces Default Browser [Application...

@AtilaUno let me know that Opera has released Opera Mini 5 Beta 2. There’s no official changelog or details about what was changed but according to the “top new features” section of the desktop download page, two new features are Opera Link and a Download manager.

• Opera Link
  Synchronize your bookmarks and Speed Dial between your mobile phone and desktop computer.
• Download manager
• Manage downloads right from the browser. Pause and resume downloads to suit your needs.

In addition to these new features I noticed that Opera Mini 5 no longer forces the default browser option where you can’t use your BlackBerry Browser if it’s installed. You can now choose to open a link in your native browser or in Opera Mini through the menu.

To download Opera Mini 5 Beta 2 go to m.opera.com/next from your BlackBerry Browser. If you find any other changes be sure to leave them in the comments!

Note: I noticed that with my Bold 9700 I have to click “enter” when selecting an option. Clicking the Trackpad in doesn’t work…
