“All You Need Is Love” BlackBerry Commercial Song Available As A Free Download From RIM – New Music & Ringtones Category!

RIM is now offering the All You Need Is Love song from their BlackBerry commercials as a free download! For those that aren’t familiar with this song, made by The Beatles (awesome band), here is a bit about it from Wikipedia:

“All You Need Is Love” is a song written by John Lennon and credited to Lennon/McCartney. It was first performed by The Beatles on Our World, the first live global television link. Watched by 400 million in 26 countries, the programme was broadcast via satellite on June 25, 1967. The BBC had commissioned the Beatles to write a song for the UK’s contribution. Rolling Stone magazine ranked it at #362 in their 500 greatest songs of all time.

Okay, I'm sorry but I find this in bad taste all around. Having been a Beatles Fan for 15 years now I highly doubt John Lennon would've liked where his song about Love would have ANYTHING to do with "black berry". Anytime I see this commercial I wanna hurl because this song isn't being represented the way it should be. It was about LOVE not a game, not a black berry but LOVE. And it's been distored and changed now. Just like All You Need Is Love getting used for the Pampers diaper commercial it's now getting used to support mindless garbage. They shouldn't have the right to use All You Need Is Love. Yeah...."Do What You Love" what kind of crap is that? Sit and play with a stupid Black Berry till your thumbs fall off? Sorry but I wish this commerical would just go away and be burried into the catagory of "we made a huge mistake" by using this song to promote something as mindless and as stupid as this. Sorry but TAKE THIS Commerical and go hide under a rock.
