KGB Releases Answers App For BlackBerry – Will You Pay $0.99/Answer? [Application]

By Mauricio

Every time I see a KGB commercial I’m always amazed that it’ still around considering the many free resources that are available. Let’s say someone sent a text to KGB (542542) asking “What is a BlackBerry?” that same text could be sent to Google (466453) and you’d get an answer for free (with an SMS plan of course). Just to see what the difference was, I texted both the question  and they both gave the same answer. While both told me about the fruit and not the smartphone it just goes to show you that some services are pointless.

But that’s just what I think. I’m sure there are those of you who prefer using KGB with the idea that a real person is behind it (even though both gave the same answer) so I figured I’d post about their new BlackBerry app and see what kind of response it gets.

Features:

  • Get accurate answers to any question
  • Share with friends (Facebook, email)
  • See similar questions kgb has answered
  • See what other people are asking kgb
  • Store Q&A in your phone; create Favorites
  • Save numbers in your phonebook
  • Cost: FREE, incl 3 answers (then 99c each)

For more info about the app click here or for a OTA download click here. I’d really like to know what everyone’s take  on this app  is and whether or not you’d pay $0.99 an answer. Let me know in the comments!
