my desktop manager is not loading the 5.0 os upgrade. I followed all the instructions and it is still not reading it. Helpppppppp

Desktop Manager will only allow upgrading to an OS released by your carrier, UNLESS you first delete the vendor.xml file. So unless your carrier is Zain Kuwait, you must locate and delete it. Ample instructions how to locate it are available on the web, but you can easily use the Windows search tool.

I'm confused I downloaded the software but it is just blackberry desktop. Where is the actual OS to load onto the blackberry?

Click on the link in the article next to where it says "Download". Once you are on Zain Kuwait's area of blackberry.com, choose Bold 9000 from the list and follow instructions to download.

The best 9000 OS so far as I tested. Faster, stabler, less memory leaking.

By the way, the "lock" icon/function works perfect on the official version of 5.0.0.464. This one is definitely different from the leaked version.

I've tried this update, but like I heard before about this.. there's no 'keypad lock' icon, even the shortcut for it. So you have to using 'mute button' to lock the keypad.. Better using .411 OS before than .464 OS as the new one.. that's just my suggestion..
I wish I could downgrade to the earlier OS version.. :(

So is this version ok to use or not? Didnt anyone here had used it before?
i currently still using 4.6, wat the different to the OS 5 one???

Hmmm anyone tried this out yet? I am currently using this version but the leaked version. Kinda scared of official version after experiencing the official .411 from bell. Not sure if there are differences bet the leaked and this official version. I love my BB BOLD 9000!!!
