The guys over at foursquare let me know that their BlackBerry application will soon be updated with new features and an updated user interface. Early last month we saw foursquare get updated to 1.7.0 with a refreshed user interface and it looks like this upcoming update will complete those changes until the next big update.

Here’s what I see that’s new in the upcoming version

• Refreshed UI
• “More” tab replaced with “Me” tab
  • Me tab includes a new “History & Profile” section where you can view your user checkin history and  profile
  • “See your friends” added to the “Manage “friends” section so you can view the profiles of your foursquare friends
• Under the “Places” tab from the main view there is now a search box at the top
• Improved connectivity and speed
