![]() | Jim Balsillie Talks BlackBerry PlayBook At GITEX – 64GB Version In The Works, Powered By 5300mAh Battery |
RIM’s co-CEO Jim Balsillie was at GITEX and gave the attendees a talk and preview on the upcoming BlackBerry PlayBook tablet. The majority of Jim Balsillie’s preview was covered in the DEVCON keynote and press release, save for a few things. We got a breakdown of the PlayBook’s specs from the DEVCON press release but thanks to the video from GITEX, here are some additional bits of info:
- PlayBook will be available as a 16GB, 32GB or 64GB version
- The PlayBook will be powered by a 5300mAh non-removable battery
Besides for info on the PlayBook, Jim Balsillie also introduced BlackBerry App World 2.0 and the Torch 9800 in the Middle East. Everyone still excited for the first professional tablet by RIM? The battery might not be removable but I’m sure it will last long enough and thanks to the added memory and dedicated QNX OS, I see lots of good things happening with the PlayBook.
