RIM recently updated the BlackBerry News Feeds app to version 1.0.1 in the BlackBerry Beta Zone. For those of you that aren’t familiar with it, this app allows you to scan headlines, read summaries or whole articles, share content through email, SMS, PIN, social networks or BBM, and find new content with keywords, URLs and suggestions. Changes in version 1.0.1 include:
- Ability to delete all prior articles when viewing a feed or viewing “All Unread Items”.
- Ability to mark the list of items as read when viewing a feed or viewing “All Unread Items”.
- If you swipe left or right in a feed, the screen now moves to the previous or next item in the feed.
- Ability to zoom in on images and text in feed items.
- New message, wireless network, and battery (while charging) indicators appear in the app’s header.
For more info and to download the update go to blackberry.com/beta and log in or sign up. Version 1.0 (beta) is still available for download in the BlackBerry App World Test Center and blackberry.com/newsfeeds. Keep in mind that the beta version is only available to users in the United States and Canada.
