The Foursquare team let me know that version 1.9.85 of their application for BlackBerry smartphones is now available for download. The Foursquare BlackBerry team is definitely working hard to get the app to Foursquare 3.0 status but we’ll see how soon that happens. Here’s an overview of the improvements in this version:
- Add friend to contacts – Now you can instantly add your foursquare friends to your BlackBerry address book.
- Email/txt tip details – Quickly send a great foursquare tip to a friend via email/txt.
- New badge detail view.
- New comments view.
- Add comments to a shout.
- Improvements to notifications.
- Improved memory management and cleanup.
- Built in help and support for common questions/issues.
- Streamlined photo view support for profiles.
