Photos From The BlackBerry PlayBook Launch Party In New York City!

Yesterday I attended RIM’s launch party for the BlackBerry PlayBook tablet in New York City. The event was very nice. A bunch of RIM employees were on site to offer more hands-on time with the PlayBook but other than that no big announcements were made. I was able to get a bunch of pictures and after about an hour of resizing them (the file sizes were too large), I’m now able to upload them to share with my fellow BlackBerry Rockers!

In the photos you’ll see a bit of the venue including booths, the stage they had set up (although it wasn’t used), some PlayBooks and familiar faces like myself and Alex Kinsella, Jim Balsillie and Mike Lazaridis from RIM, and Dwight Howard from the Orlando Magic. It was cool seeing the RIM co-CEOs mingling about in the crowd. You’ll also see photos of a special drink called the “PlayBook Punch” (I forget what’s in it but it was good) and a nice little surprise from RIM, my very own BlackBerry PlayBook given to me as I left the event.

All in all it was a fun night and I can’t wait to get started on some videos and photo galleries of the PlayBook in action for BBRocks.com. Check out all the PlayBook launch party pics below!
