Yesterday I transferred some PDF documents to my BlackBerry PlayBook and looked for PDF To Go to access it but didn’t find it. What I did find was Adobe Reader. Looking around for some info I saw that Adobe yesterday published a blog post announcing that Adobe Reader X would ship with PlayBook tablets, a very nice offering. From their blog:
The highly-anticipated BlackBerry PlayBook tablet will ship with Adobe Reader X for high-quality and fast viewing of rich content through the ubiquitous PDF.
PlayBook users will have access to advanced features in Adobe Reader including Touch-based gestures for efficient navigation and zoom in the PDF, Page Navigator interface for fast navigation within large files, accelerometer support and File manager for quick access to PDF files on the PlayBook tablet.
Besides for Adobe Reader X, Adobe also offers a few other applications for the PlayBook which I’ll cover in other posts. If you’ve got a PlayBook be sure to put a PDF document on it and see how you like it!
