RIM today released a new version of their BlackBerry Desktop Manager for PC. The latest version is now at 6.1.0.35 and even though release notes are not yet available, according to the update prompt, this version “adds new features and important enhancements to media and synchronization”. Besides for the official release notes included with the update @rr_yy claims this version of Desktop Manager also includes support for the BlackBerry 7 OS. Here are the release notes:
- You can use the new Files feature to manage your files between your smartphone and computer.
- If encryption is turned on for your smartphone, you can also synchronize encrypted media files or copy encrypted files between your smartphone and computer.
- If your smartphone is associated with a BlackBerry® Enterprise Server, you can also synchronize security certificates.
For more info and to download BlackBerry Desktop Manager version 6.1.0.35 go to blackberry.com/desktop. You can also get the update by simply running Desktop Manager but if it doesn’t pop up automatically, use the “Check for updates” option to manually update.
