Early last month RIM updated the BlackBerry Desktop Software for PC to version 6.1 but didn’t immediately post an updated user guide. I’m not sure when they updated the docs but a new version of both the user guide and release notes are now available. Here are the new features and enhancements in v6.1 of the Desktop Software:
- Certificates – If your smartphone is associated with a BlackBerry® Enterprise Server, you can download, import, and synchronize certificates between your computer and your smartphone.
- Files – You can use the Files feature to copy files between your smartphone or tablet and your computer.
- Media – files You can now synchronize and import encrypted media files.
- Wi-Fi® music sync – You can use Wi-Fi music sync without launching the BlackBerry Desktop Software.
Besides for these changes there are also a bunch of other fixed issues as well as known issues. To learn everything about v6.1 of the Desktop Software for PC check out the user guide and release notes below.
