RIM Working On Music Sharing In BlackBerry Messenger With “BBM Music” App/Service

By Mauricio

Some new details and a screenshot have leaked for an upcoming application/service launch by RIM called BBM Music. According to the info, this new music sharing service for BlackBerry Messenger will be available soon after BlackBerry App World 3.0 is released. If this is the case and since App World 3.0 will be available as a beta soon, we’ll probably see a beta for BBM Music in the BlackBerry Beta Zone too. Here are the details so far:

  • The music app will be coming soon after App World 3.0 is released
  • BBM Music will be loaded on all new devices
  • Social Music Sharing using BBM
  • You share songs with others on BBM
  • RIM will be setting up their own music library
  • It will be a paid subscription and cost around $4.99 a month
  • Get 50 songs and then share them and you will be able to use 50 songs from others on BBM

Sounds pretty cool! Will you jump on the new BBM Music sharing app/service once it’s available? Stay tuned for more!
