Android Application Player For The BlackBerry PlayBook Found On RIM Servers & Leaked!
Here’s an unexpected leak for BlackBerry PlayBook owners. Thanks to some witty Desktop Manager users and a tip to N4BB, we now have a leaked beta build of the Android Application Player for the PlayBook tablet! RIM answered some questions back in April about the app players for BlackBerry Java and Android apps but since then we haven’t heard much about Android apps and the PlayBook’s ability to play them. Thanks to this “leak” anyone can give the App Player a try until RIM figures out it’s been left in the open.
You can download the App Player files here of RIM’s servers and sideload them to your PlayBook for use but remember, this is a beta so you should backup your data before trying to install it. You will also need the “DDPB Installer” which you can find using this Google search.
Let me know if you get it to work and what apps you used in the comments!
