Last week I let you know that RIM was planning to release an update for the Tablet OS on the BlackBerry PlayBook. Today version 1.0.8.4985 of the Tablet OS went live and is available for everyone to download. According to RIM’s blog post from last week, this update should include the following changes:

• Daylight Savings Time: updated some time zones
• Updated Bluetooth and Wi-Fi drivers improving co-existence and connectivity
• BlackBerry App World account payments reliability improvements
• Improvements to VPN connection reliability
• Addressed some scenarios where BlackBerry Desktop Software would not restore applications to the PlayBook

To take advantage of the fixes mentioned above open up your PlayBook’s settings by tapping on the gear in the top right corner then tap on Software Updates, then Check for Updates. If you need help watch our walkthrough video here and feel free to leave a comment or post your feedback in the forums!
