Free TrueCaller Global ID App Now Available For BlackBerry – Caller ID, Call Blocking & Global Number Lookup

It’s always nice when great services launch their offerings for free on BlackBerry. TrueCaller let me know they’ve launched a free app for BlackBerry smartphones by the same name. If you’re looking for an app that tells you who’s calling, allows you to block them or lookup an unknown number, this is one you’ll want to try. Here’s the official description:

TrueCaller offers a global caller ID for your BlackBerry, enabling you to match phone numbers to names, addresses, social networks, and even pictures.

TrueCaller automatically engages when you receive or place a call to a phone number that’s not already in your address book, searching online for identifying information connected with that number. Within seconds, TrueCaller displays information associated with that phone number, such as the other party’s name, address, region, and country.

TrueCaller will flag known spam callers for you–and you can add to the Call Filter list at the touch of a button to block them.
