Alleged RIM Document Reveals Europe Will Get BlackBerry 10 First

It is difficult to understand how a top tech-giant like RIM could fail to maintain its leading position. Problems, of course, can’t be avoided but there is always a way to deal with them in an effective manner, and Heins needs to do just that. In spite of criticism, he needs to have a mind of his own if he really wants to make a great move by upcoming BlackBerry 10 smart phones.

Though RIM had to face many challenges one after another – from plunging stock prices to deteriorating faith of investors and RIM’s own employees – from reluctant layoff policy to delay in the release of BB 10 models – yet it seems that BlackBerry 10 release may drastically change the course of RIM’s future.

Alleged RIM Document Reveals Europe Will Get BlackBerry 10 First Recently, a document revealing RIM’s roadmap for upcoming BlackBerry 10 devices got leaked, and it has some pleasant surprises in store.

This document has been posted by an unknown source on BlackBerryOS.com. According to this document, RIM will roll out new BB 10 devices in Europe in January 2013, and then it will release new devices in U.S. after a couple of weeks.

Well this sounds to be an apt strategy, since Europe market possesses a lot of potential for upcoming BlackBerry 10 devices, so it may help RIM in recovering with a greater speed.

Among BB 10 models, users are also going to witness a model featuring touch screens. As far as codenames of forthcoming BB 10 phones are concerned, besides ‘London’ and ‘Nevada’, they have cropped up two more codenames, ‘Nashville’ and ‘Naples.’ This roadmap also disclosed that these models are going to be released during spring/summer and summer/fall respectively.

Unfortunately, those who are curious for further details will have to satiate their curiosity from these limited available details only, since this leaked document doesn’t shed light on more information about forthcoming smart-phones.

Alleged RIM Document Reveals Europe Will Get BlackBerry 10 First The document further reveals that RIM would roll out a tablet (codename ‘Blackforest’), featuring 10-inch display in 2013 – most probably somewhere around summer.

This new rumored tablet will be a superior version of RIM’s existing tablet. One can read the number’128′ alongside the device name. This number probably could mean, ’128 GB’, which is an indication towards the capacity of the device. This is nothing but mere speculation.

Before we get to see RIM’s next gen sophisticated BB 10 devices, RIM is preparing to roll out new PlayBook featuring 4G LTE connectivity along with new BB 10 OS. This new playbook is scheduled for fall 2012 release. We don’t know if it’s a good decision, but that’s what the rumors are saying.

However, this roadmap can’t be taken for concrete plans of RIM. The company’s management is currently going through major changes and who knows that just like delaying decision of BlackBerry 10 models took everyone by surprise, there may be many more surprising announcements.

As of now, besides planning perfect strategies for already existing RIM’s plans, Heins really needs to think something out of the box because without a unique USP, BlackBerry 10 devices might not perform well in the market.
