Do you love playing games on your Blackberry? Do you love zombies? Have you ever wondered what it would be like to be a zombie? Well, now you can find out with Plight of the Zombie, a relatively new game for the Blackberry Z10 now available in Blackberry World.
Unfortunately, due to issues with screen resolution it’s only compatible with the Z10. Hopefully, in the near future this will be addressed and the app will be expanded to support the Q10 and other BB10 devices.
In this game, you take control of Craig, who happens to be a zombie. What do zombies generally do? At least, what do the traditional zombies do? Why, they eat brains of course! Naturally, you must navigate each level and collect all of the nice, juicy and pink brains scattered about. Every now and then you’ll come across a living, breathing human which you’ll have to devour. You can’t let all that food just go to waste!
Plight of the Zombie uses a different control scheme than most games. Instead of controlling Craig via virtual joysticks and buttons, you simply just swipe your finger across the screen where you want him to go. In some cases, you may even need to stop him which can be done by double tapping anywhere on the screen.
It goes without saying the game gets harder as you progress through the levels. Humans start carrying weapons, and you need to do your best to avoid them. More specifically, in the later levels humans carry shotguns, and various weapons. You can use a couple of different tactics in order to take them down. The most obvious is to sneak up behind them and gobble up their brains.
When you attack a human, they also turn into a zombie allowing you full control over their corpse. Yes, you can create an entire army of undead, all yours to control. Muah hahahahahahahahaha. Sorry, I let my evil laugh get a little out of hand there.
Anyway, as you take down humans you can use other zombies as distractions and then sneak in for the kill with Craig. Some of the humans end up with more ammo in later levels, which means you actually have to use the zombies as distractions- there’s no other way to get to them.
Plight of the Zombie also includes the following features:
- Play over 50 deliciously brainy puzzles
- Be one with your inner zombie as you nom on yummy brains
- Support a savory cause by helping end zombie hunger
- Appetizing store with plenty of tasteful accessories for your zombies
Unfortunately, Plight of the Zombie is not free, but that only makes sense since it’s a premium game with plenty of content. It only costs a total of $3.00, so if you have the money to spare I definitely recommend checking this one out. It runs flawlessly on the Blackberry Z10.
