Getting a haircut for a hardcore BlackBerry addict can sometimes be challenge if you can’t fight the urge to check it for at least 30 minutes. That’s where the iCape comes in!
The iCape allows you to continuously use your smartphone while you are getting a haircut (or other styling) without the risk of wetting, scratching or otherwise damaging it.
Key features:
Clear Window
The heart of the iCape is the clear, flexible vinyl window in the lap area of each cape. In most models the window is 6” by 8”, perfect for phones and other devices.
PrivacyPouch
A large pocket on the inside of the cape covers the clear window, giving the wearer total privacy and a place to put their device.
CordCover
A small flap near the clear window lets a headphone cord through but keeps water and chemicals out.
I know salons will grab these, but what I really want to know is how many of you will recommend these to your salon on your own? Would you go to a salon using the iCape over one that doesn’t?
Here’s another question…how many of you would buy one and take it to your salon when you have a haircut? They are available for $17.95 each.
(This made me laugh so I added it to the Humor category as well.)
For more info visit iCape.biz or check out the press release after the jump.
I’ve been using the VM Speakerphone and I’ve got to say it is one of the best BlackBerry purchases I have made besides for the BlackBerry itself. No more CDs, no more browsing through radio stations. Since I’ve gotten it I’ve barely listened to the radio since I have 7 out of 16GB of music right on my BlackBerry. And that’s not all it does…
The BlackBerry Visor Mount Speakerphone VM-605 is a hands free Bluetooth speakerphone from RIM. Enjoy your calls and your favorite music from your BlackBerry smartphone with the convenience and sound quality of your car’s FM stereo system. It’s easy to use. Just clip it to your car’s visor, turn it on, and you’re ready to start making and taking hands free calls on the go. And because it supports voice activated dialing, caller ID, and verbal notifications to let you know who’s calling, you can stay in touch while keeping your hands on the wheel and eyes on the road.
Features:
Wireless transmission via Bluetooth connection
Driver-friendly
Simple operation
Slim, ultra-light design
Up to 13hrs talk time
Noise reduction and echo cancellation technology
Works with GPS Mapping Applications
Compatible with other Bluetooth enabled devices
One thing the store doesn’t mention is that it is rechargeable and comes with a car charger that will actually work with BlackBerry devices that have a Micro-USB plug, like the Curve 8900, Storm and Tour.
Also, if you think $84.95 is a bit much, consider that it is $99.99 if you get it directly from RIM .
The Visor Mount Speakerphone will work with any BlackBerry running OS 4.22 and higher (meaning pretty much every BlackBerry). Head on over to the store to grab yourself one while they’re available! If they’re as awesome as I believe they are I’m sure they’ll sell quickly.

iSkin Inc. has released some new and hot BlackBerry cases for the BlackBerry Curve 8900, Bold 9000 and the Storm 9500.
Taking its styling cues from the successful iSkin solo/solo FX for iPhone, the iSkin Vibes/Vibes FX are form-fitting BodyGuards that perfectly encapsulate the BlackBerry and shields it from everyday hazards. Its impressive list of design and protective features includes: a protective ultra-clear screen film, built-in button and port coverage, and a non-slip surface finish that feels comfortable and helps stabilize the device when placed on angled surfaces. It’s also the first product of its kind to feature Microban®* antimicrobial protection (to inhibit the growth of odor and stain causing bacteria on the product.)
iSkin Vibes cases are available for $29.99US and Vibes FX cases are available for $32.99US. Visit the iSkin BlackBerry product page for more info and to purchase one, or check out the full press release after the jump.
If you decide to get one of these let me know how you like them!
