Earlier this year I mentioned the HulloMail visual voicemail service and how some T-Mobile UK customers were petitioning for T-Mobile UK to stop divert charges just because they didn’t want to use their default voicemail. T-Mobile UK was probably charging their customers for using services like HulloMail because they want them to keep using their own service, but default carrier voicemail is very inadequate when it comes to features and ease of use.
That’s why there are services like HulloMail and YouMail (one of the first visual voicemail services). These services allow us to do more with our voicemail rather than just calling in, listening to annoying prompts and then our voicemails.
HulloMail lets you:
Receive and play voice-emails directly in your inbox, mobile and the web
Get notified of any missed call, even in areas with no mobile reception
Take control of your voice-emails – it’s up to you, not the operator
Share, delete and keep your voice-emails forever, within a click
See who’s calling you instantly from your email contacts
Access, view, and manage your voice-emails, all from one place
The HulloMail mobile application also gives you:
One click access to all your voice-emails
An enhanced single view of your voice-emails
Embedded rich contact information from your phone or your Gmail contacts
The HulloMail visual voicemail app is available for the Curve 8900, Bold 9000 and Tour 9630 with support for other models coming soon. To download it directly to your BlackBerry visit hullomail.com from your BlackBerry Browser for “early access”. Both the web service and app are available free.
More info in the full press release after the jump.
(If you’ve used YouMail and try HulloMail, let me know which you think is best in the comments!)

The Google Voice BlackBerry application has been updated to version 0.1.5. There is no official changelog but here are some of the differences I noticed:
In the options menu
Preload voicemails
Backround refresh with update interval options
UI and app icon look slightly different (?)
Not sure why but manually refreshing the history seems to fail a lot for me. Anyone else having this problem?
Feature recap:
Make calls and send SMS from your Google Voice number
Save money with low priced international calls
Listen to your voicemail and read voicemail transcripts
Manage your Inbox and view Call History
You can grab the update by going to m.google.com/voice from your BlackBerry Browser. If you notice any other differences leave them in the comments!
LaterDude Pro is an application that reminds you to call, SMS or email someone. The efficiency of it is that it interacts with the system and creates a new event into the internal calendar or task application.
Jump over to the original contest post for more details and to leave your comment! Contest winners will be announced tomorrow afternoon.

WorldMate Inc. today announced the release of WorldMate Live v3.0 for BlackBerry.
WorldMate is known as an industry leader in mobile travel services with over 3 million active customers worldwide. With a reputation like that, this app has to rock! Here are the updates/changes in version 3.0:
Yelp Local Search Services
Find restaurants, shopping, night-clubs and other businesses wherever you go. Make the most of your time while traveling. Use Yelp to provide you information and reviews for hundreds of thousands of businesses in North America and the UK. Click-thru to reserve a restaurant table, get a map to the shopping mall or compare reviews for night-clubs.
Calendar Sync Changes
WorldMate synchronizes your travel itinerary with your calendar. Get your flights in Outlook / Notes. Get your meetings in the itinerary at the correct time-zone – automatically!
Hotel Booking Improvements (Smart Hotel Search)
WorldMate’s Hotel booking service was already available for both free and Gold users. In the improved version, hotels now appear in a list layout with thumbnail images and include special offer notifications. The hotel list is arranged according to the WorldMate optimization engine, which takes into consideration all of the user’s preferences, as well as the distance from the selected landmarks. The user can also sort hotels by specific criteria: Price, distance, star rating.
Rail Support in Automatic Itinerary Generation
WorldMate’s parsing system now supports rail booking confirmations. Users can forward confirmation emails from Amtrak, Eurostar, TheTrainLine and others and have these bookings automatically integrated in their itineraries – just like flight, hotels and car rentals.
Map & Directions
The “Map & Directions” feature opens the BB map service instead of a static map.
WorldMate Live is available for free at m.worldmate.com or as a premium Gold version available in the store for a yearly subscription of $99.95 with a free trial available.
The Gold version includes everything the free version has plus customized flight-update alerts, flight status, flight schedules, a travel directory and eligibility for customer support.
Subscribe to the BBRocks! Store Feeds to stay up-to-date on the latest BlackBerry software, accessories, special offers, best sellers and the deal of the day!
