If you frequent the BBRocks! Store you may have noticed a new module that displays the Deal of the Day for that day. This is a new feature that will show a new deal on a bestseller every day!
The first ten days of this new feature will include 10 outstanding products. You will be able to buy a great app or theme – that day’s designated deal – at a 50% discount from either the new Desktop module or through the existing On Device App Store module.

Some of you may have already noticed the new toolbar at the bottom of your screen while at BlackBerry Rocks!
The toolbar is by Wibiya and it has some great features:
Translation: ability to translate your blog into their native language with a single click.
Posts Navigator: easy navigation between recent posts through two buttons, recent posts previews and random posts.
Live Notifications: Any website announcements (or any important news items) will be shown here and in real-time.
Twitter Gadget: live notifications of my latest twitter messages as well as mentioned on Twitter about BBRocks! You can also send out a Tweet as well as follow me through this gadget.
Community (via Facebook): a community with Facebook connect where you can view the latest visitors. Allows users to join your community through their Facebook account and find which of their friends have already joined.
Sharing Tool: Enables you to share, save and distribute to your content through the AddToAny application.
Register to RSS Feed: subscribe to the BBRocks! RSS feed.
This toolbar is not meant to interfere with your navigation or viewing of the site, but if you feel that it does you can easily hide it by clicking the down arrows to the far right of the toolbar.
This toolbar is still in testing so I’d appreciate any feedback you can provide about it. Feel free to share your experiences and opinions about this toolbar in the comments.

As some of you may have noticed BlackBerry Rocks! has been experiencing some technical difficulties today.
Why you ask? Because of all the awesome BlackBerry Rockers out there who like my site! And I mean that in a very good way .
I have done some temporary upgrades so the site can handle the load, but I will have to upgrade to a bigger server soon. Real soon.
I’m looking into options and a few of you have already recommended some, so you can expect something to happen in the near future. For the move the site may have to go down again but it will be as painless as possible.
Along with the move I am going to be making a few changes and additions to the site, as well as a few very exciting giveaways! Just as a “thank you” for being loyal to BBRocks! That won’t be the end of it either.

I also highly recommend you follow me on Twitter since that is where I post all my site updates, info, posts, everything. It’s also the best way to contact me should something go wrong with the site, but hopefully after the next upgrade that won’t be the case.

Some of the problems included the App Store not launching at all, blank screens, weird menu behaviors and a few other issues were being reported. The new version should be substantially more reliable and stable.

I just wanted to remind everyone of the BlackBerry Rocks! Twitter account @BlackBerryRocks, and now @BBRocksStore!
@BlackBerryRocks is used by me to share my posts from the site on Twitter, to chat with anyone that would like to and may have BlackBerry questions, or just for casual conversation and random thoughts.

I plan on doing BlackBerry application reviews more often and wanted some feedback from everyone about what they would like covered.
Here are some of the things I might cover:
Developer, category, uses, size (kb/mb) and price (if there is one)
User rating (from the store) and personal rating (1 through 5)
Ease of installation, including time it takes to install
Screenshots (lots of them)
Mini “getting started” guides
If there’s something else you think I should cover leave it in the comments. I already have a few applications lined up for reviews, but if you have any you’d like me to review let me know and I’ll add it to my “queue.”

Last night I reminded my Tweeps that you could leave comments using the new Disqus comment system, but I forgot to mention that you can now also use your Twitter account in addition to your Disqus and Facebook accounts!
Each account has its advantages, but it’s entirely up to you which to use. Here is a recap of what using Disqus means for you, the commenter:
