Here’s something pretty cool. The publisher of Insider’s Guide has created an alternative to the guide books called WhereTraveler.
WhereTraveler offers guide lists with Shops, Attractions, Tours, Transportation, Museums, Galleries, Neighborhoods, Spas, Salons, Theaters and Night Spots, with descriptions, addresses and phone numbers!
There is also a translation feature that can translate the guide into 21 different languages.
WhereTraveler can be viewed on your desktop and on your BlackBerry. To check out the mobile version head to wheretraveler.com/mobile through your BlackBerry Browser. The mobile version can be viewed on a PC if you’d like to preview it first.

This is pretty cool! According to the Official Google Blog, GrandCentral is to become Google Voice. Current GrandCentral users will be able to get a preview of Google Voice before it goes public, which should happen over the next couple days. As for the rest of us, Google says it will be publicly available soon!

Just when I thought Viigo couldn’t get any more consumer friendly than it already is, they go and create an awesome new Support Site!
The new Viigo Support Site contains FAQs & Forums covering a wide variety of topics, it allows you to enter and track incident reports and/or support requests on-line.
They didn’t stop there. Any incidents submitted from your Viigo client will automatically be routed to the Viigo Support Site, where you can log-in and track their progress/resolution.
With all the support Viigo gives their users, why not help support them by purchasing some Amazon products from their Support Site page on the right side. Not only will you get great deals but you will also be helping them with the development of Viigo!
Don’t have Viigo yet? Download it at getviigo.com.

*UPDATE* Michael from MapQuest just left a comment updating me with the link for supported handsets. You can visit http://www.mapquest.com/mq4m/phones/ for the full list. Michael says the version for the Curve 8900 is coming real soon too .
Unfortunately this application isn’t available for the BlackBerry Curve 8900 yet. I’m not sure which other BlackBerrys aren’t currently supported since m.mq4m.com/futurelist doesn’t have an actual list. If you try to download it be sure to leave some comments on whether or not you were successful!
Some highlights from the press release:
MapQuest announced the addition of My Places to MapQuest 4 Mobile, MapQuest’s free, downloadable application. My Places lets registered MapQuest users save maps and routes to their profile from the MapQuest site and access them via MapQuest.com, (http://www.mapquest.com), or their mobile phone.
With My Places, users can set up an account at MapQuest.com and view their saved locations using MapQuest 4 Mobile.
To download the free MapQuest 4 Mobile application with the new My Places integration, go to m.mq4m.com on your mobile device.

Just got a press release tip about how T-Mobile UK voicemail users are petitioning for T-Mobile UK to reduce their divert charges.
A service called HulloMail is also mentioned in the press release. HulloMail is a visual voicemail service similar to YouMail, with some differences.
Some highlights from the press release:
T-Mobile is the only major UK network not to include diverts to geographic numbers in their inclusive minutes. The operator’s customers are charged five pence per minute more to divert their voicemail to external third party voicemail services than they are to use T-Mobile’s traditional voice prompt system.
HulloMail is email based so you get the choice to reply to your messages with either a voice call, email or text message.
No matter how you choose to listen to your voicemail, by dialing in, online, in Outlook or Thunderbird or even on your iPhone, it will always stay sync’d. So, if you listen to it on your phone, when you see it online it will be marked as read… if you delete it in outlook, you won’t have to listen to it again next time you dial in.
HulloMail sounds cool. I might have to check it out .
