Imagine walking somewhere and all of a sudden everyone starts singing and dancing out of nowhere. Would you find it entertaining? This advertisement done by T-Mobile UK sure was.
Notice how the onlookers take out their cellphones and start recording. That’s like second nature to some people now. Something happens, cellphones come out and start recording.

This video is done by a different person from the first scratch test. The Storm seems to be invincible to sharp objects . I wonder if someone will really put theirs to the test. I’m not suggesting go and stab theirs with a sword, not unless you have insurance and can handle the fee . Actually scratch that, I don’t want to be blamed for anything.
For some reason I found the way he rushed into closing the box and shaking it amusing.

Despite all the negative articles out there about Verizon’s BlackBerry Storm, there are still those that appreciate RIM’s first touchscreen BlackBerry. Honestly, everyone I speak to who has played with the Storm likes it and wants one. And that’s not just because I talk to BlackBerry lovers, some of them own and like iPhones. That has to say something.

Sheryl left a comment about a letter she wrote up that would help President-Elect Barack Obama get over his BlackBerry withdrawals. Here is an excerpt:
Dear Mr. President-Elect Obama:
Say it ain’t so! From one BlackBerry addict to another, I feel your pain (as another Democratic president used to say with faux emotion). There, on mobile.nytimes.com, I read the words on the tiny screen in the palm of my hand and almost dropped my precious BlackBerry on the floor: “Say Goodbye to BlackBerry? Yes He Can, Maybe.” This, on page A1, of The New York Times.
Yes, it’s sad but true: Your #1 New Year’s Resolution is you will have to surrender your BlackBerry, sir. Apparently, after you take the oath of office in front of the U.S. Capitol on January 20, 2009, it will be way too risky for you to carry a BlackBerry and send text and email messages. Not because you have to worry about pick-pockets stealing the thing mind you: Unlike other Washingtonians who have to fear losing their wallet, purse or mobile device on the Capitol’s streets, you’ll never to worry about that again because you’ll have Secret Service agents at your side every moment of every day for the rest of your natural life.
The problem actually comes down to system security and presidential privacy: Hackers could hack into your email. Worse, every presidential email could be subject to public viewing and press snooping one day. We can’t have that now, can we? { Continue reading }

Ok this is a bit random, but I had to share this. My cousin, Lauro Perez, sent my family this article that was written about him by Mike Sweeten of the Warrior Forge Public Affairs. He’s done some amazing things, and has some great plans for the future. Not only that, but he’s a BlackBerry owner .
His goal is to become the best officer in the United States Army, and step by step he is reaching this goal with skills, knowledge, and spirit. I’ve seen pictures, heard stories, but nothing is close the the real things he has experienced. Congrats Lauro, you make us all proud!
