Daniel Garcia is a web developer/software architect by day, rebellious tech-punk twenty-something by night. He is a contributing writer to BlackBerry Rocks! who reviews applications for BlackBerry devices, as well as shares the occasional tip for fellow Rockers. He has a BlackBerry Storm 9530, soon to be 9550. If you would like to know more about him, you can follow his Twitter account: @buzzedword.
Earlier this month, Verizon pushed out Bing for Mobile to all Storm handsets, as well as preloaded the software onto all new Storm 2 units. If you haven’t already heard, Bing is the new kid on the block to the search market, going toe to toe with the big dog: Google. Why should you be using Bing, instead of Google? Can’t say. I’m here to rock the BlackBerry, not worry about petty search wars.

BGR put together an awesome review of the BlackBerry Bold 9700, initially covering its hardware in Part 1. The Bold 9700 in Part 1 is a pre-production unit but BG says he’s going to review an AT&T production unit in Part 2!
Here’s what BG goes over in this review:
Hardware / Design
Screen
OS
Keyboard
Phone
Browser
Speaker
Battery
The pictures alone are enough to make you drool . Here’s a statement from the review showing that the Bold 9700 is definitely in BG’s good graces:
“So you’re saying the BlackBerry 9700 is the best BlackBerry ever?”
Yes. It’s the finest BlackBerry ever crafted and if you’re asking why it’s so much better than the Tour, it goes back to that CDMA vs. GSM argument as well as the fact that the 9700 is simply a year newer.
Head on over to BGR for all the details and more pictures of this rocking BlackBerry and let me know what you think in the comments below!
Also check out what’s on BBRocks! about the Bold 9700 in the 9700 Archives.

Here’s a great video put together by The BlackBerry Guy. In it he does a quick comparison between the Curve 8520, Curve 8900, Bold 9000, Storm 9530, Tour 9630 and the Curve 8330.
The video is mostly focused on the differences between each BlackBerry model’s form factor, but he does go over a few other tidbits. Check it out and let me know what you think in the comments.
Just a reminder, Alerio was lucky enough to get the Curve 8520 from Walmart before it’s official release, which is tomorrow August 5th. If things go well, you should see the T-Mobile Curve 8520 page update soon after midnight, allowing you to purchase this BlackBerry.
