Here is a list of my favorite BlackBerry applications, both free and paid, and the links for where to find them. This application list is in no particular order, they’re all my favorites!

Atomichelix Notify! for BlackBerry Free
‘Atomichelix Notify! for BlackBerry’ is a small add-on program that enables the menu item ‘Save to MemoPad’ in the default mail program. The option appears in both the list screen menu and the view email menu (view the screenshots here) and the exported notes are placed directly into MemoPad and viewable immediately!
Atomichelix Taskify! for BlackBerry Free
‘Atomichelix Taskify! for BlackBerry’ is a small add-on program that enables the menu item ‘Save as Task’ in the default mail program. The option appears in both the list screen menu and the view email menu (view the screenshots here) and the created tasks are immediately in the ‘To Do’ list!
PeeKaWho Email Alerts – SMS / Email Notification $10.00 – Trial available

Everyone knows the problem when an incoming call is received:
Firstly the device vibrates and only after the vibrating is finished, the ringtone starts to play. Unfortunately this often leads to missed calls. This simple application allows you to set the vibration alert and the ringtone alert at the same time. You can also set how long the vibration alert should last.
TyperSpeed $2.95
This application is for everyone who wants to get a view on how fast he/she can type on his/her BlackBerry device. It calculates the result in words per minute. It’s the first application of its kind for BlackBerry.
Through this you can see if you type faster on a PC-Keyboard or on your mobile device since the application uses the same calculation as other wpm-calculators.
This application also includes a highscore list for the best 3 scores.
It contains 6 texts (4 english / 2 german) you can choose from; You have to type off the text and then it calculates the speed. Another option is ‘Speed Writing’. There you just type anything and when you want to calculate the speed, you simply click on Stop!
It works as follows: the application gives you a text that you have to type off and when you finished writing off the text, it shows you the time taken and the number of characters typed. Through this it calculates the average words per minute.
CaptureIt Free
Capture It is an application designed to help fellow developers and Blackberry users share a picture of their screen with ease. We see many bloggers use screenshots to review applications, people showing off their new home screens, and other developers wanting to show their application to consumers online.
Well Capture It allows you to take a screen shot, and save a jpeg to your device.
If your device has a memory card inserted, the capture will be saved there. If no memory card is available it will be saved to the device memory.
You can download our application OTA or load it via Desktop Manager. The application is available to all Blackberry devices with 4.3 os or higher.
BOLT Browser Free

BBFileScout Free

BBFileScout allows you to browse the file system of your BB (including hidden files) – create directories, copy, move, rename or delete files. You can open all (by your Blackberry supported) media files. Furthermore BBFileScout allows you to open files (like ini, xml, etc.) as plain text, so you are able to mark, copy & paste text fragments of these files that normally can’t be opened with your Blackberry. This can become very valuable when you receive eMail attachments that are not native supported by your Blackberry. More functionality (like copy & move of directories) is coming soon. PhoneTweak (formerly BerryTweak) $4.95 – Trial available
PhoneTweak lets you tweak your BlackBerry how you want it, including automatically looking the screen and keyboard during calls. BerryTweak is fully configurable and lets you set options for Phone, Messages, Power, Connections, Clock and LED. There is even a handy flashlight feature.
The number of “I must have it now….” , “Thats What She Said” on the forum thread is incredible. I never anticipated so much demand for this app. BUT, because of the excitement I wanted to add some goodies to the app before i released it. So in addition to having over 20 sound clips, all from your favorite show, the office. The app also has 6 wallpapers, and works in both portrait and landscape mode.

CallsBlocker Free
This is an application that allows the user to block unwanted calls or calls from unknown, private or withheld numbers.
Through this you won’t get bugged anymore by advertisement or unwanted calls. Another feature is that you can block a set of numbers that starts with specific digits (e.g. all 190 numbers).
You can even choose numbers from any contact in the address book and simply add them to the list of blocked numbers through one click. If you are in the Call Log and want to add a number from there, you just click Menu -> ‘Add Number to blocked List’ and then the number will be added to the list of blocked numbers. No need for the long copy-paste procedure.
