Free themes: Tiffany & Co, Hello Kitty Pink and RoxyBerry for the BlackBerry Storm
This one’s for the ladies
.
Someone asked me why I don’t include direct download links for some theme posts. It’s up to the theme developer and/or website where I find these themes whether or not 3rd party sites are allowed to link to the downloads directly. Some sites don’t mind, some do. Sorry for the inconvenience, but at least these themes are still brought to your attention
.
Tiffany & Co (Bottom Dock)

Hello Kitty Pink (Hidden Today and Bottom Dock)

RoxyBerry (Zen and Hidden Today)

Feel free to leave some comments about these themes! I’m sure the developers would love to hear some feedback.
Awesome free Halo theme for the BlackBerry Storm!

With the recent addition of the BlackBerry Rocks! Mini Directory, one of my new missions is to fill it with as much content as I can. Lately I’ve been going through the various themes websites and forums, posting about the ones that really catch my eye. This is one of those themes where the developer really spent his time and effort, and it shows!
I came across this awesome Halo theme for the BlackBerry Storm over at the PimpMyBerry forums. The detail and uniqueness is amazing! I remember when I first played Halo (1) on my old Xbox, staying up late and sneaking up on the Covenant to knock them out…good times.
Any Storm owning Halo fan definitely needs to check out this theme. Head on over to the Halo for Storm theme page for more screenshots and the OTA download link.
Preview BlackBerry Enterprise Server v5.0

Info about the BlackBerry Enterprise Server 5.0 is now available through RIM’s BlackBerry Connection Newsletter.
New to BlackBerry Enterprise Server v5.0
BlackBerry Enterprise Transporter Tool
With the BlackBerry® Enterprise Transporter tool you can run parallel BlackBerry Enterprise Server environments, allowing you to do real-world testing in the new BlackBerry Enterprise Server v5.0 environment with part of your team before making a full migration. There’s no need to wipe devices before transferring to BlackBerry Enterprise Server v5.0, and backing out to the pre-existing environment is easy.Threshold Assistance Tool
The Threshold Assistance Tool resides within the BlackBerry® Monitoring Service; it uses the information gathered by your monitoring database to suggest acceptable operating thresholds for your particular server and network environment. As your company grows, you can run the tool again to set new baselines.High Availability
Utilizing High Availability is easier than you think—three clicks and you’re done. Learn more about this feature in an upcoming edition of BlackBerry Connection.Role-Based Admins
BlackBerry Enterprise Server v5.0 allows for granular control of admin permissions. You can now scope a given role to a set of users the admin can take action on. For example, you can create an executive-support IT group, which would allow for only particular employees to perform administrative tasks against the execs’ accounts.Maintenance Windows
You can now opt to suspend alerts during specific periods, for example, during server maintenance. Using this function just might end those early-morning wake-up calls that occur during scheduled server downtime.

Alleged Craigslist Killer Done In By His BlackBerry
![]()
I’ve been hearing about this guy and how he lures people to a location through Craigslist. I wonder how much damage this has caused Craigslist and the way they handle their site.
By Geoff Fox:
If Philip Markoff, the man arrested in Boston as the Craigslist killer, is guilty he might have been fingered by his own “Crackberry” addiction. I’m not a detective, but it’s pretty easy to see the man shown in a string of surveillance photos wasn’t trying to hide from the cameras that have become an unavoidable part of our everyday life. And in each frame he is shown clutching his BlackBerry.
Not even a cold-blooded killer can escape the BlackBerry addiction. Kudos to the authorities for tracing him electronically the way they did.
