Hedone Design let me know that they have released a new BlackBerry theme in the spirit of the Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympics. This theme is wallpaper friendly and features 5 user customizable icons with a bottom banner for the clock, date and notification alerts.

The Winter Olympics 2010 theme is available for the BlackBerry Curve 8900, Tour, Storm and Bold 9700. If you’re a winter sports fan or just like the look of this theme you can pick it up in the store for $2.99.

Elecite has pushed out a few awesome themes since they relaunched with their new design. Their newest premium BlackBerry theme, called Ace, comes with a “coverflow” design and is well organized so you don’t need to use the application list.

It comes with 5-6 customizable icons at the top, a weather Icon, 10-11 (locked) quick access app card icons and a Today style preview area so you don’t have to open your messages and calendar apps to see what’s inside. You won’t be able to change your wallpaper on this one because the awesome app cards will be rockin the majority of the homescreen.

When I saw that Jennifer over at CoolBlackBerryThemes released a new, free BlackBerry theme based on the movie “Avatar,” I had to mention it. I saw Avatar in IMAX 3D and it blew my mind, becoming an instant favorite. If you got a chance to see Avatar then you know what I’m talking about.

The Avatar BlackBerry theme has a customizable bottom dock with images from the movie. If you haven’t seen the movie yet you can download this theme to get a sort of “sneak peek” from the images used in it.

After a long, relaxing and party-filled New Year weekend, it’s time to get back into with with all things BlackBerry. I know many of you aren’t happy about going back to work, school, whatever…so I have a bunch of goodies coming your way today. For starters, @MADBRADNYC let me know that one of our favorite themes has been updated with some great features and multiple versions. New in ONYXia version 2.1:

• all homescreen icons are bigger
• fixed active/incoming call silhouette bug (I hope, need some feedback on this one)
• fixed icon focus bug on first time loading the theme (except for the Today versions, but it’s not a huge bug anyways)
• completely revamped the top banner
• profile icon now uses default method (meaning you can now check what profile you’re on from the lock screen)
• added Manage Connections shortcut to the right side of top banner (place your Manage Connections icon in the 17th slot of the Application Menu)
• 12 main icons + 4 side icons for Folders / Options (look at the screenshot example to get an idea)
• had a lot of complaints about my preferred font size (aka super tiny), so now all fonts in the theme are user-defined!
• added Today version (calendar + messages)
• all versions come with a transition-free choice (no lag, less memory usage)

When I first posted about this theme back in November it had more basic features but was still awesome. This update only makes the theme even better and best of all it’s still FREE!
