Free .tel For BlackBerry Application Integrates .tel Into Your Address Book

Last week I posted about an application called Hornet, which is basically a free .tel address book for your BlackBerry. Telnic has released their own BlackBerry application called .tel (shows up as Access .tel) which basically does the same thing, along with some other features available.
- Look up a .tel
- Save .tel data to your address book
- Synchronize your contacts with live .tel details
- Control who can see your private data
- Switch between your .tel profiles
Not sure what a .tel is? Check out blackberryrocks.tel to see one in action. There is also some private data which is only available to view if you are my TelFriend. The private information is meant for developers and companies interested in contacting me with my direct email address, along with a few other contact methods.
To become a TelFriend register at telfriends.tel. This is also where you would add your own .tel domain so you can control who sees it. If you are a website owner a .tel is definitely a good thing to have. If you aren’t a website owner, it’s good to have either the .tel app or the Hornet app to search up .tels and import them to your address book.
You can download the .tel app to your BlackBerry by visiting bb.apps.telnic.tel from your BlackBerry Browser. Desktop downloads and more information are located at the .tel for BlackBerry page.
