Bellshare GmbH has just announced that the BerryBuzz 2.0 private beta is now open and includes some great new features!

BerryBuzz extends your default Blackberry alert system allowing you to customize the LED color for many alert types and keeps the LED flashing for longer than the default 15 minutes, in addition to customizable vibrate options for incoming calls (like vibrate + ring).

The BerryBuzz 2.0 Beta includes new features like support for BlackBerry Messenger, Facebook, custom LED colors, a new ‘Disco’ color, controlling your LED’s flashes and many more!

The currently available version of BerryBuzz goes for $5.95 in the store with a free trial available, just in case you don’t like using beta applications.

Ronen over at BerryReview found out about a new Instango beta version, a free instant messenger application for BlackBerry.

Instango v2.1.41 beta changelog:

  • Support for invisible status
  • Added notification icon on homescreen
  • Added prompt on disconnect/exit
  • Now remembering status on every restart
  • Option to hide tabs when there is no active chat (on by default)
  • Added option to copy received links, not just opening
  • Bug fixed when using Wi-Fi a disconnect will not reconnect because instango thinks there is ‘No coverage’
  • Bug fixed where contact/account delete was not deleting correct item when list changed before delete was acknowledged
  • Potentially fixed bug where contact list display became corrupted on scrolling (Blackberry Storm)
  • Bug fix where entered text is being sent when text field is accidentally clicked (Blackberry Storm)
  • Fixed bug where chat open for two days will show same date on day change

I have been using this application since its first beta, and it has come a very long way. This application is awesome, and I think it is the best multi-platform messaging program for BlackBerrys. Not only that, but it’s free!

Instango 2.0 is now officially released and available for download.
