It’s been a few months since we first heard about the it but RIM has finally launched the free U2 Mobile Album for BlackBerry in the App World.

Features:

• Get inside the album with access to songs from No Line On The Horizon with images, lyrics, interviews and videos
• View the original, origami-style photo displays inspired by the music
• Access dynamic news feeds from U2.com and receive alerts when new content is available
• View exclusive images of the band in the recording studio and on the road
• Mark your place in the crowd with geocoding, chat and share images with other fans, and view postings from the band (coming soon!)
• Tap into the Who’s Listening section and see when and where other users are listening to the album (coming soon!)
• Track the tour as the band moves across the globe – see where they’re going and where they’ve been (coming soon!)

The U2 Mobile Album is available for all BlackBerry devices (OS 4.5 and higher) and all countries, except for China. For more info check it out in the BlackBerry App World.

Nobex let me know that their free Nobex Radio Companion BlackBerry application has gone global!

Nobex has  added over 1000 playable stations across the globe making the total amount 2000 radio stations with a playlist of over 2700 radio stations, in addition to adding  17 countries including Italy, France, Spain, Brazil,  Mexico and Argentina. All local content is free depending on where you live, but international content is premium.

You can now also request your favorite stations and see if their streams work at nobexrc.com/StationWiki.aspx.

To download it visit nobexrc.com from your BlackBerry Browser, or visit the same link from your desktop computer for more info. You can find the premium version and information in the store.

The TuneWiki social media player for BlackBerry has been updated to v1.0.0.69.

There is no changelog and posting to Twitter and Facebook doesn’t seem to be a feature yet, but here’s a recap on what TuneWiki is all about:

The TuneWiki social media player for BlackBerry has been released.  Initially  released as a premium version that is ad-free for $4.95, TuneWiki will also have an ad-supported free version.

I’ve had the pleasure of testing TuneWiki out for a while and I have to say, this application will definitely be one of the popular media players.

iheartradio has been released for the BlackBerry Pearl, Curve and Bold, with a beta for the Storm also available.

The iheartradio streaming radio application for BlackBerry has a few cool features like finding local radio stations by using your BlackBerry’s GPS, save and tag favorite stations, and a lyrics lookup option. Unfortunately, iheartradio is not available for Canadian BlackBerry owners right now.

Version 1.0 includes:

• Streaming in high-quality AAC format

Michal from Nobex Technologies let me know that they have updated Nobex Radio Companion to version 2.1.0.184 with some cool new features!

New features include:

See Lyrics –  you can see the lyrics of the song that is playing (or recently played). If you are listening to the song through Nobex Radio Companion, you can even have the lyrics scroll synchronized with the song – turning your BlackBerry into your very own karaoke machine!

Read Song and Artist Info – Using the “Lyrics and More” screen, you can now see Artist and Song info too. You can find out how the band you love got together, and why they wrote that song you can’t get out of your head.
