NikkiSoft is having a 50% off sale on their popular QuickLaunch application for BlackBerry today only!

QuickLaunch has come a long way with its development and it only gets better with each update. In my opinion this is an application no BlackBerry user should be without, especially if you want to get the most out of your convenience keys.

QuickLaunch is a must have application for every BlackBerry owner. With an interface that is seamlessly integrated with the look of the BlackBerry OS, QuickLaunch will create shortcuts to most any application on your device with ease and style. In addition the added functions included with QuickLaunch will enable you to delete several other apps on your device saving memory making QuickLaunch the ‘Swiss Army Knife’ of your Blackberry.

QuickLaunch allows you to setup shortcuts to various functions such as Websites, Email, SMS and PIN addresses, Phone numbers, 3rd Party Apps, Videos, Images, Audio files, Device Info, Bluetooth Configuration, Camera, Video Camera, Delete your Call Logs, Manage Connections, Device Reset, Google and Wikipedia Search and other functions such as Blackberry Options, Calculator, Calendar, Event Log, Tasks, WiFi On/Off Toggle (Bold and Curve Versions) and more! Configure a convenience key to activate QuickLaunch and when pushed a menu will popup showing a scrollable list of your configured actions. The menu can be set to appear on the Right or Left side and can be shown on virtually any screen so you can perform any action without backing up and navigating through your homescreen and folders saving you time. Quick easy access to what you want to do wherever you are!

Check out QuickLaunch in the store and get it for only $2.49 until 12AM CT tonight, after that it goes up to $4.99.

QuickLaunch Updated To v2.09 For The BlackBerry Storm With New Features!

QuickLaunch has been updated to v2.09 for the BlackBerry Storm with some cool new features.

  • Orientation Lock
You can now stop the tilt of the display with the new QL Lock Tilt function. This is great when you’re using the phone in bed for example as you won’t have to worry about the display switching orientations. You can also unlock the orientation at any time. Works on most 3rd Party apps and RIM native applications.
  • Folder Shortcuts / Launcher
Now you can configure menu items to launch a folder on your sd card or device memory (similar to folders displayed in media explorer). Launching a folder shortcut will enable you to browse that folder and launch the items in that folder (music, docs, video, spreadsheets, txt files etc). This feature is currently located in ‘Add Applications’ but will be moved out to a separate button in ‘Add Items’ in the next update.
  • Revolving Volume Button Scroll Option
In addition to page up/down and Individual item up and down scrolling you can now configure it to scroll through the entire list and rotate to the top/bottom. For example if you’re at the top item in the list and you hit the volume up button the selection will continue to scroll up from the bottom of the list and visa versa.

If you already have QuickLaunch v2.0 you can get this update for free, anyone with a version earlier than v2.0 will have to pay a version upgrade fee. If you have not yet purchased QuickLaunch it is available in the store for $4.99.

Updates for QuickLaunch will soon be available for other BlackBerry devices, so if you don’t have it yet you should definitely consider getting it since the update is free. It’s a must have application for any BlackBerry user that wants to get the most use out of their convenience keys.

Note: The version in the store currently says v2.08. This is true only for every device except for the BlackBerry Storm. If you download the Storm version you should get v2.09. If you encounter any problems please let me know in the comments and I will forward them to the developer.
