The TuneWiki social media player for BlackBerry has been updated to v1.0.0.69.

There is no changelog and posting to Twitter and Facebook doesn’t seem to be a feature yet, but here’s a recap on what TuneWiki is all about:

The TuneWiki player is the most advanced social media player available today, featuring karaoke-style lyrics, translation in 40+ languages, real-time top 50 charts of every country in the world and music maps which connect users who listen to the same music. This new version of the app features Blip technology for increased social connectivity, offering to post the user’s current song on their Twitter or Facebook profile.

You can now also directly download the free ad-supported version of TuneWiki for BlackBerry. The ad-free premium version is available for $4.95 in the BlackBerry App World.

The TuneWiki social media player for BlackBerry has been released.  Initially  released as a premium version that is ad-free for $4.95, TuneWiki will also have an ad-supported free version.

I’ve had the pleasure of testing TuneWiki out for a while and I have to say, this application will definitely be one of the popular media players.

The TuneWiki player is the most advanced social media player available today, featuring karaoke-style lyrics, translation in 40+ languages, real-time top 50 charts of every country in the world and music maps which connect users who listen to the same music. This new version of the app features Blip technology for increased social connectivity, offering to post the user’s current song on their Twitter or Facebook profile.

TuneWiki partnered on this release with leading BlackBerry app developer Nobex Technologies, creators of the Nobex Radio Companion. Together, these two innovators of mobile music will deliver another award-winning app with TuneWiki for BlackBerry.

TuneWiki is currently available as a download through the BlackBerry App World for $4.95. The free version should be available “in about 2-3 days,” according to their forum announcment is now available.

Michal from Nobex Technologies let me know that they have updated Nobex Radio Companion to version 2.1.0.184 with some cool new features!

New features include:

See Lyrics –  you can see the lyrics of the song that is playing (or recently played). If you are listening to the song through Nobex Radio Companion, you can even have the lyrics scroll synchronized with the song – turning your BlackBerry into your very own karaoke machine!

Read Song and Artist Info – Using the “Lyrics and More” screen, you can now see Artist and Song info too. You can find out how the band you love got together, and why they wrote that song you can’t get out of your head.

Get Songs or Ringtones - with a single click, right from your mobile device. Or, choose to receive an email with links to buy the song on your PC, so you can always keep your music collection fresh!

Hear Song Snippets – if you’re not sure if the song you just missed is the one you have been wanting to download.

I also noticed that they updated their logo and application icon, very nice! Don’t forget that you can still listen to over 1000 radio stations around the world and see the playlist of over 2700 radio stations.
