BlackBerry and iheartradio got a mention on New York’s popular music station, z100.

It seems like iheartradio is becoming the streaming radio application of choice for many radio stations.

Just a recap, the iheartradio streaming radio application for BlackBerry can find local radio stations by using your BlackBerry’s GPS, save and tag favorite stations, and a lyrics lookup option. Unfortunately, iheartradio is not available for Canadian BlackBerry owners right now.

  • 150 of America’s favorite stations
  • Streaming in high-quality AAC format
  • Critically acclaimed genre-defying channels
  • Bookmark stations and tag songs
  • Hit Randomize to find something new

iheartradio is compatible with the BlackBerry Pearl, Curve and Bold, with a beta for the Storm which you can get by clicking here through your BlackBerry Browser.

Thanks Crystal!

Google and New York City partnered up to bring everyone a new website and Information Center.

NYCGo.com is the new, official resource website for New York City. They didn’t just create a new website, but an entire new Information Center as well! The Official New York City Information Center is at 810 Seventh Avenue, between 52nd and 53rd Streets. You can browse NYCGo.com and use the integrated Google Maps links to find hotels, restaurants and entertainment, and exclusive citywide savings and promotions.

The Information Center features interactive map tables, powered by the Google Maps API for Flash, that let you navigate venues and attractions as well as create personalized itineraries, which can be printed, emailed or sent to mobile devices. Additionally, there’s a gigantic video wall that utilizes Google Earth to display a 3D model of New York City on which you can map out personalized itineraries.

That’s pretty cool! I’m going to have to check it out soon.

Don’t have Google Maps Mobile on your BlackBerry? Download it by visiting google.com/gmm through your PC or BlackBerry Browser.
