And the leaks continue, this time with some Bold OS goodness! What about the Curve 8900? :-(

DISCLAIMER: Install at your own risk. This is Leaked/Beta software that is not guaranteed to be stable, and therefore will not be supported by RIM or your wireless carrier should you run into some problems. As a precaution, if you decide to upgrade, it is highly recommended that you make a backup before using this software. If you are not comfortable using Leaked/Beta software you should probably wait for the next official release. *

Note: This is a re-upload for those who missed this last week. I removed old post and link to eliminate confusion. The other reason I re-posted this is because the BlackBerry OS page now has two leaked versions for all applicable devices.

Video Of The BlackBerry Onyx 9700 – Coming To T-Mobile USA In November?

YouTube Preview Image

FeedBerry has posted a video of the BlackBerry Onyx (aka Bold 2) 9700 in action, showing OS 5.0.0.208, the Trackpad, and the “leather” battery cover.

So far all we’ve heard about the Onyx are rumors. Originally the Driftwood/Onyx was said to be releasing on T-Mobile in September, but now TmoNews is reporting that a “trusted” source let them know that the Onyx will be launching during the first week of November. From September to November…this won’t be a fun wait :-( .

The 9700 has already appeared in AT&T and Bell’s internal systems, so we should be seeing a launch for them as well.

If you happen to hear anything about this device feel free to share it in the comments. Or, if you’d like to share it anonymously, send it to tips@blackberryrocks.com.

storm 2 odin launch verizon october Verizon BlackBerry Storm 2 Launching Everywhere October 14th?

CB Forums member ao_wynn posted a screenshot of what is supposed to be info from a recent Verizon agenda meeting showing the BlackBerry Storm 2 launching for business customers September 29th, October 14th for everyone else!

In addition to the Storm 2 possibly getting released, the screenshot is showing Maintenance Release 1 for the BlackBerry Tour as being available on September 15th. This could be the previously mentioned Tour OS 4.7.1.42 said to be released by Verizon, followed by a similar release from Sprint.

Since these are rumors right now all we can do is wait for more info or an actual launch ;-) .
