iDumpit, an Australian online clearance outlet, has announced their new mobile application available exclusively to BlackBerry users.

Users of the free application will enjoy a personalised shopping experience with access to over 25 categories of products at a significant discount to the Recommended Retail Price (RRP). iDumpit application users can set their personal product preferences so that they will be automatically alerted when any of their chosen products are on special. These specials will be available only to BlackBerry smartphone users for the first 24 hours. There will also be a selection of specials on the site only available to BlackBerry smartphone users.

Have you ever been stuck in a store because you weren’t sure if you’d be able to find a product for a better price somewhere else? I found a free application called Frugalytics that helps by comparing prices to help you get the best price. This application seems similar to Pongr, except you can’t take a picture of the product as a way to search for it.

*UPDATE* Here are some photos of Pongr in action on my BlackBerry Curve 8900. I noticed that using the Barcode search results in more desirable prices, probably because it is more precise. Let me know if you try it out!

Just found out about a cool new BlackBerry application called Pongr. This application basically helps you find the best price available for a certain product, like books, movies, music, and video games, etc. This application is currently in public beta and is FREE!

The way it works is you take a photo of the product, email it to ping@pongr.com or send a text to SHOPP (74677), then Pongr will send back a list of the best prices and websites where you can purchase your item right to your BlackBerry. Nice!
