(Slacker has seen Storm devices playing up to 9 hours over 3G with this build)

    not properly resume playback
  • Addressed an issue where phone calls or message alerts would prevent
playback from resuming properly for some listeners

FREE! Slacker updated to version 2.0.2, now faster with no gaps!

Slacker let me know that they have updated their free BlackBerry streaming radio application to version 2.0.2. This update is focused on fixing many bugs as well as greatly increasing the application’s performance.

The major enhancement of the application update is that we have optimized the application to perform faster and remove many of the “Gaps” when skipping or transitioning songs. When a song first starts, there’s alot of activity going on, but after 10-15 seconds you should get near instant skips (Depending on your connection speed).

Before you download the new version of Slacker you should delete the current version on your BlackBerry and then do a reboot. If you forget to uninstall the previous version Slacker should automatically delete and clean it up, but the best way would be to delete the older version first. Click here for a guide showing how to delete applications.
