David let me know that he has recently launched a new BlackBerry community site called BerrySocial.

Here’s what this site is about:

BerrySocial is a, you guessed it, social networking site aimed at BlackBerry users near and far. We hope to bring together regular users, business users, providers, developers, technicians and anyone else in the BlackBerry loop closer together for a richer, fuller BlackBerry experience.

BerrySocial has some neat features. Here are a few:

  • Create groups for anything (Join the BlackBerry Rocks! group)
  • Twitter and Facebook integration
    • You can update your status for both
  • Chat with other BerrySocial users with a chat bar located at the bottom of the screen
  • Add widgets like Activity, File widget, Friends, Gamer Card, Google Maps and more

For more info or to sign up head to berrysocial.com.

A new social network by RIM called MyBlackBerry will be launching tomorrow, according to TechCrunch.

Here’s what I was able to get from the intro video:

  • Connect to BlackBerry users around the world
  • Rate and review  applications, accessories, and more as well as see the reviews of others
  • Ask and answer questions
  • Community tips and tricks

TC says your MyBlackBerry profile will be personalized according to your BlackBerry model. This way you won’t have to worry about seeing items about another BlackBerry that wouldn’t apply to you, unless of course you wanted to, in which case it seems like that won’t be possible right now.

I think this is a great idea and can’t wait to try it out personally. For more info visit the MyBlackBerry page. Right now you can only view a splash screen and the intro video, but the actual site is supposed to be launching tomorrow.

Thanks @buzzedword!
